The Physical Modeling Consortium (PMC) is an industry association that promotes the development of new design techniques for the automotive and related industries. Members of the consortium include Toyota and Maplesoft, as well as other OEMs and leading technology and solution providers.
The consortium was founded in response to critical challenges in the automotive industry. How can we accelerate the modeling process for ever-more complex design tasks? How can we ensure correctness and sound scientific principles in models of growing sophistication? Currently, discussions include rapid plant modeling for control applications, robust formulation techniques for automatic model generation, and the application of symbolic computation technology.
The Physical Modeling Consortium Networking Session at the 2008 SAE Congress is the ideal opportunity for you to find out more about the Consortium and to meet peers who share the same interest in innovative automotive design techniques. Whether your goal is to stay on top of the latest developments or find a forum to share your ideas and concerns, the PMC will help you get in touch with industry leaders at the forefront of modeling innovation.
